FLEEING TO TOWN WHAT`S FOR? MWINYI ARGUED

YOUTHS should not flee to urban areas to become jobless while there are many activities to be used as sources of income in rural areas, former President Mr Ali Hassan Mwinyi has advised. 
Alhaji Mwinyi made the remarks during the aids handover to the residents of Kwadelo ward from Kondoa, Singida.
The handover ceremony took place at his Mikocheni B home in Dar es alaam today.
The former president said at the moment the country is experiencing a difficult time because of inflation and unemployment problems, saying the problems could be solved.

“Let`s take an example of Kwadelo ward where there are 64 tractors donated by the government for agricultural activities but there are some complains that youths are running from the village to the city with thoughts  to get good life only to find difficult life,” he lamented.
Mr Mwinyi further said unemployment is not the problem of our country only, but it is the international disaster and different countries are in hard time because of it.
“Look at Spain and Portugal where their citizen are demonstrating because of unemployment hence jeopardizing their countries but the solution is not demonstration the solution is to hustle hard,” he said.
For his part, the Councilor of Kwadelo, Mr  Alhaji Kiriati said youths who will be return to the ward they will be lent a piece of land and a tractor for agricultural activities to ensure efficient production.
“We will give five acre to every youth and we estimate if the given person will work properly 100 sacks will be produced and he/she will sell each one 50,000/-. I know it will reduce the difficulty of life and youths can afford basic needs of life,” he said.
The aids which were given to Kwadelo residents including delivery bed 7,00,000/-,Water tank(500 ml) 6,50,000/- which were donated by the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr Bernard Membe and Minister for Natural Resources and Tourism, Mr Khamis Kagasheki.
The former president also gave 200,000 to Qassim Omar the resident of Kwadelo and the student UNUNIO teachers college who wanted to stop his studies because he didn`t have tuition fees.
The Kwadelo residents thanked the government and their councilor for the efforts of bringing development to their ward, saying before the donation there was one bed for child bearing activity but currently there will be two beds which they can be used for that purpose.
They further added now they will have a safe water from the tapes and they will buy at 100/- while before they were using well water and they were buying 20 liters at 300/-
